MyFry App Allows Reader To Choose Their Own Narrative

15 Sep 2010 in Uncategorized

Nowadays, book worms can indulge in their favourite novels using a variety of mediums, whether they choose to read a tangible book or view the words in a digital format.

Whichever method chosen, the reader will start at the beginning of the book and finish at the end. Seems logical…right?

Not anymore!

English actor and comedian come writer, TV presenter, journalist and Twitter lord, Stephen Fry, has taken it upon himself to revolutionise the way consumers read his new autobiography.

‘The Fry Chronicles’ can be viewed on an iPhone or iPad and encourages users to delve into Fry’s life however they choose.

The centre piece of the app is the visual indexing tool, which allows the reader to choose their own narrative, whilst the autobiography itself is split into four colour coded sections; People, Subjects, Feelings and Fryisms.

Each section has its own tags and the reader can choose to read that section or use the tags to navigate to similar areas of the book, offering complete user control in an innovative and interactive way.

Of course, you could pick up a book and start reading the chapters in a different order but it would be nowhere near as fun as plotting your own route through Fry’s life on your iPhone or iPad!

MyFry is available for download from the app store.
